McTimoney Chiropractor, Cambridge UK

Steven Aronson

Steven has treated many humans and animals, including wolves at Shepreth Wildlife Park.

Whole Body

The McTimoney Method differs from other treatments by using a precise, gentle, whole body approach. McTimoney Chiropractors aim to treat the person as a whole, not just focus on the painful areas which often means that the cause of the pain has not been dealt with.

Symptoms

Due to the gentle nature of the McTimoney method, it is suitable and beneficial for people of all ages with conditions such as the following:

• Back, neck and shoulder pain
• Some migraines and headaches
• Sciatica
• Minor sports injuries

First Session

Your first session can normally last anything between 30 minutes and an hour. Firstly, Steven will assess your general health, asking questions about existing symptoms and previous conditions. You will then be asked to have a physical examination to locate the problem. If treatment is agreed, Steven will use the light, gentle techniques associated with the McTimoney method to make adjustments to your body. If at any point Steven believes that medical intervention is necessary then he will refer you to your GP for further investigation.

Number of Sessions

The number of sessions that you would be recommended to attend will be discussed with you prior to treatment. To treat straightforward issues, most people find that between two and six sessions will be sufficient. However, the number, and the frequency, of the treatments will depend on:

• Your Age
• How long you’ve had the injury
• How much pain you’re in
• Your General Fitness
• Your Posture
• The Stress in the body

Aftercare

After a session with Steven you may feel some stiffness and tiredness in the body, especially after the first session. This will be due to your body realigning. You will be given advice on the best aftercare treatments and lifestyles changes that will aid your recovery. If you feel concerned about anything during or post treatment, it is very important that you talk to Steven straight away.
